Sir J. Jordan to Sir Edward Grey.--(Received April 6.)

(No. 81.) Sir,

Peking, February 12, 1907. REFERRING to my telegrams Nos. 26 and 29 of the 8th and 10th instant, I have the honour to transmit to you herewith, in translation, copy of a letter from the Wai-wu Pu, in which they inform me that their Memorial on the Canton-Kowloon Railway Agreement has received the Imperial sanction.

The Agreement itself will not be signed until after the New Year's holidays, which terminate early in March, but the necessary papers are now being prepared, and it is hoped that there will be no undue delay in executing the instrument.
